Bioregion’s line of renewable carbon products for plastics consists of cellulose based filters to functional bio-based powders are supplied to masterbatch manufacturers and injection molders. Pellets are available to compounders and plastics molders with the goal of increase sustainability of the finished plastic part.
The use of biochar in agricultural goes back centuries to a time when man was growing food without any pesticides, herbicides or man-made fertilizers. As you can read about in our FAQ section (link), the most fertile soils on the planet are those that contain the highest levels of carbon. Bioregion’s Agricultural black reduces soil compaction, lowers run-off, increases the ability of soil to hold on to water and nutrients. All of these capabilities contribute to healthier fields and higher yields.

We use our knowledge and relationships to identify applications first. The range of possibilities is endless. Sometimes we’re taking the opportunity to replace oil-based carbon with bio-based carbon, other times we’re working on a ways to replace harmful weed killers, or make products more recyclable.
